Be surprised if we went with that tbh. Slot has shown he likes the midfield to be close to full strength.

Think MacAllister will start to get minutes under the belt again and would expect one from Jones/Gravenberch or Szobo to start. Probably whichever one is likely to be rested in the following league game.

Wonder might there be a chance of Jones at RB (he has played there before) and Gomez then playing at LB.

I would be happy with that lineup I have said previously I would sacrifice the domestic cups in hope of progressing in PL/CL. If that side could get through great it gives them experience, if not it reduces our fixture load.

But like Doc I would be surprised if Slot rested so many, also I would say that there are a few players in there I wouldn't be sure are ready/fit enough to start, or at least aren't ready to play 90 mins e.g. Jota, Elliott, Chiesa, the first two have had some minutes from the bench but not loads, they could start but I would be surprised if Chiesa was just thrown in from the start, I know he is supposed to be involved, but I don't think that means starting. So I'm not sure that we'd go with that side.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Slot started with Jones, Endo, Morton in the last round tbf.

I think Endo is a cert to start and probably Morton too if he’s recovered from his knock.

Yeah but MacAllister has just missed two games in a row due to suspensions and Slot has spoken about how he likes first team players to not lose the continuity that comes from regular minutes.

No Trey Nyoni, Amara Nallo, Jayden Danns or James Norris for LFC's U21s this afternoon at Crystal Palace ahead the seniors' trip to Southampton on Wednesday. Potential for all four to be involved for the quarter-final at St Mary's.

I really hope Elliott gets a start.

You’d imagine Elliot and Mac definitely start then it would be one of Endo and Morton with them.

I’d be keen to see Nallo get a game or at least some time off the bench.

Has Danns had enough time back from injury for this game? Hopefully a repeat of the FA cup from last year for him against Southampton.

I wouldn't imagine Danns or Chiesa have been back long enough to start, I doubt Jota would be able to play more than an hour. If we are wanting to rest regular forwards, I could maybe see Elliott starting on the right of a front 3 with MacAllister, Endo and Morton in midfield, so a front 3 of Elliott, Jota and one of Gakpo or Diaz. With our limited options in defence I imagine VVD, Gomez and Quansah will have to play, just a question of who the 4th is and how everyone lines up.

I suspect there will be a few changes around the hour mark as I suspect Jota and Elliott won't play much more than that, ideal situation would be we can bring Chiesa and some kids on for half an hour our so, but it may be we bring so first teamers on

                                Endo at the back maybe?

                                Kelleher
                                Quansah - Nallo - Endo - Norris
                                Macca - Morton - Jones
                                Elliott - Darwin - Gakpo

Would love to see Chiesa though, I wouldn't be devastated to go out really.
