Quansah bringing out his inner Matip. He looked more confident today, doesn’t matter who it comes against if he finds that from again it’s a big boost for the team.
Danns looks a natural up top doesn’t he. Looks comfortable and confident and like he belongs. Knows how to finish and be in the right spot.
Very happy for Chiesa. Good signs.
Elliot took some time to get going, that knock seemed to fire him up. Important minutes especially in the second half playing in the middle.
Dom is just class and has gone to another level this season. Only 45 hopefully means he starts on Tuesday. His energy is needed.
Good run out and minutes for plenty of others. Thought Jota did well in his new role. Offers the same work rate and energy as Dom does there. Endo is also fun to watch and has done well filling in defensively. Always good to see the younger players get game time and see what they’ve got.

It would only be 85m if all the add ons were met which I doubt the majority of have been.Originally posted by kingfunk View PostI agree with all that, and I really really want him to succeed. But 85 million pounds…. FML…
Was the club announcement (rather than the version the media liked to put up) about the fee that the main fee was 63m with a potential 22m in add ons?
Now 63m is still a big chunk of change, but he is not the 85m flop some sections of the media like to portray him as.
If anything he has been a bit in the middle in terms of his G/A return to date. Not awful but not very good either.
We gambled on him, he gambled on us, has not really worked out so hopefully we can still find a club willing to pay a fairly decent fee and all parties can move on in the summer.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Was reported as £64 with £21 in add ons. But the add ons were reportedly largely based on getting to 60 appearances (he’s well on over 100 now), with only £8.5 of it based on team or individual success. That would have us on around £76m paid at least.Originally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostIt would only be 85m if all the add ons were met which I doubt the majority of have been.

Changes very little though.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostWas reported as £64 with £21 in add ons. Both club and player took a punt. Player gave his all and has worked his arse off on the pitch.
It now looks like that despite the hard work it is the wrong player for the club and wrong club for the player.
The transfer fee can be banded about, but it is a pretty pointless discussion as you win some and you lose some on that front. Thankfully over the past decade we have tended to get our bigger (30m and above) transfer right more often than not we have gotten them wrong.
For me it is as simple as we have the guy until the summer most likely. So when he is on the pitch I am hoping he nets a goal that turns out to be the one that is the first of a long run of them. If/when he gets sold it will be a case of he tried his best and fell short.
Today he got an assist and I think he was unlucky not to have won a penalty.
The team won, we are through to the next round of the cup and most of our starters got a rest before the bigger game next week so nothing to complain about at all in my eyes.
Was a game full of positives imo.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Purely addressing the talk around the transfer fee. Not the bigger picture transfers, Nunez or the game today.Originally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostChanges very little though.
