I’m hoping to see a repeat outcome from the 2019/20 season where we played Leicester who were the (unlikely) 2nd placed team at the midpoint of the campaign. Lots were predicting a tricky game but we completely took them apart in a 4-0 win. It was a big statement and from then on the title was never in doubt.

This is exactly what has been going through my mind tooOriginally posted by rudedog View PostI’m hoping to see a repeat outcome from the 2019/20 season where we played Leicester who were the (unlikely) 2nd placed team at the midpoint of the campaign. Leicester was 10 points behind vs Forest being 6-9. I really feel that if we win, Arsenal will drop points the night after vs Spurs, but if we don't then almost 100% that Arsenal will get the win

The players chose to take it easy against Utd (mentally) because that result seemed like such a foregone conclusion. We did the same against Forest earlier in the season, albeit it was straight after a ridiculous international break.
Hoping to see a pumped LFC performance tomorrow. One tit for another.

Nearly every article I've read recently mentions one player or another suffering from illness. I'm hoping this explains the Spurs and United results better than taking our eye off the ball.
Hopefully we've fully recovered and Forest feel the brunt of our frustration. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

It feels like a massive round of fixtures, us playing Forest, Arsenal playing Spurs and Chelsea playing Bournemouth who are having a good season. All those sides will be thinking this is potentially a round of fixtures where they could gain ground with a win as they probably view the other sides as having fairly difficult games. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We should be more worried about City, than Chelsea. If Arsenal drop more points this weekend, I'll be looking at City as biggest threat.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostIt feels like a massive round of fixtures, us playing Forest, Arsenal playing Spurs and Chelsea playing Bournemouth who are having a good season. Man City are 12 points behind us and we have a game in hand. They are missing their best player. They have looked better the last couple of games but it’s been against ****e opposition. They will drop more points - not worried about them at all.Originally posted by RedReet View PostWe should be more worried about City, than Chelsea. Neither am I. But they will finish above Chelsea and as I said, I wouldn't be surprised if they finish ahead of Arsenal.Originally posted by rudedog View PostMan City are 12 points behind us and we have a game in hand. Boo where’s the fun in that SB?
You’re right of course - however, I’m keen on following the other games as I want us to have a title procession in the last part of the season.
No dramas, twists or turns, just everyone acknowledging us as champions for the 20th time and becoming the most successful English football club of all time
That’s what I asked Santa for
