Must have been fired up to make the most of the start and make up for the game time he’s missed building up his fitness. Should be a massive boost in the second half of the season. Excited to see what he’s going to offer.
He's obviously a good player with experienced game intelligence. It's really about whether or not his injuries have affected his mobility - and if so can he adapt. There's no doubt there's a good footballing brain in there and an attitude geared for success. How much is in his gift?
    Really?

I like the way that chiesa plays with a smile. It's supposed to be fun afterall.

He had some good moments tonight but I remember him from about 5 years ago, he was unplayable at times - he absolutely destroyed England almost single handedly in an international game.

He comes across as a guy who is really happy to see others do well. Not a given these days.

Yes. It's interesting that in this case we seem to be using our medical & rehabilitation teams (or whatever they are called!) as a value add. If they get this player back to peak they've added what - £70 or 80m?
            Really?

[Pearce] Slot says he was so impressed by James McConnell that he's now unlikely to go out on loan.

He took his opportunity tonight and that’s big praise from the boss. I wonder how much game time he could get if that’s the case.

Yeah though McConnell was good, looked really on the front foot at times. Him and Chiesa were our best players. Bradley had some good moments going forward but looked suspect a few times defensively

So I now think the next round is :

                    Monaco v Brest
                    PSG v Benfica

And the winners of those go to a draw to put them against Barca or Us? Am I right?

If so that is a really **** way to run a tournament.

                      Agree.

I really liked what I saw of McConnell last season and was a bit worried on how the backroom changes would impact him / his future but he was class tonight.

                      High hopes for the lad.

It's great to see products of the academy being given a chance, doing so well and offering options versus signing players.

It's also great to see you still have not changed your Daniel Agger avatar

                          Not dangerous? WTF

It's probably the easiest way you could break a players leg/ankle there is. Sliding in with momentum, going through the leg to get the ball, with all your weight come through. Danny is lucky his foot wasn't firmly planted.

The fact it wasn't even given as a foul was ludicrous.

Nah it's great, bring it on!

                              Potentially Robertson vs Dembele..

Fair to say Arne needs to work on the Jurgen hug. Poor effort than Arne
