**** the Carabao Cup. We need to focus on the EPL and the UCL. We tried for the quadruple before and died on our legs.

    Prioritize what's important.

Many will say it’s only one more game now anyway, but our last 2 Carabao finals were long, 120+ mins, energy draining games. Could really do without another one like that going into the last 9 or 10 PL games this season.

Spurs win this morning should keep Ange in the job for now at least
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I’m amazed that some would sacrifice a chance at a trophy at the semifinal stage. I bet the players all want to play and win no matter what.

I'm not saying to throw it. Just saying that in terms of the PL, which absolutely should be prioritised over the Carabao, it may be beneficial if we didn't have to add the final to our schedule.

Now we’re here we have to go for it, play the same side we played at PSV vs Plymouth then

                Plymouth?

I'm not really talking about the semi final though, Im talking about down the line as we hit the run in for the PL. Although hopefully the semi doesn't go to extra time either.

I know you’re not suggesting that at all and yeah of course the league is priority number one but the team has been heavily rotated through the tournament already and we have Plymouth on the weekend after. They’ve been lucky with the schedule recently making it easier to rotate more heavily.

I also get the worry from previous seasons and thinking the drop off is going to happen again but this is a different manager and coaching team using a different approach and game wise the team doesn’t use anything like the same energy levels in a game as they did previously. I think they’ve been managed and rotated really well and it’s why they’ve been so consistent. There are plenty of stats to show this.

We need to trust the new setup and methods as they are working. The players look fit, healthy, motivated and the consistency in results and performance is showing because of it.

Nah, we exist to win trophies, we should definitely go for it.

We can bin off the FA Cup if necessary but otherwise, we can play a weakened team against Plymouth and I'm sure we'll still progress.

Agree. The FA Cup gives the fringe players an opportunity to impress the boss but yeah I give zero f***’s about it in comparison to the league & CL.

Surely the fact we could potentially already have the league points in the bag already makes a big difference? It could actually be an advantage for us. If we get to the final and beat Villa in 2 weeks, we could go 12 points clear, which is a big psychological advantage at this stage. Playing Villa mid week might also be better for us, as they'll have less time to prepare.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

We don't go 12 ahead unless Leicester beat Arsenal before we play Wolves. Not sure what midweek game against Villa you're referring to.

Villa game gets brought forward if we make League Cup final. So we play Everton, Wolves Villa in league while Arsenal only play Leicester, so we can pull a further 6 points ahead assuming all games are won.

                                That checks out.
