See I've done ****loads of research and apparently with the Rav4 2.5 hybrid it doesn't, it will intermittently run off at electric only for the HEV version under 30mph, not all the time.Originally posted by Norbs View Post
I'm in Wales so we're at 20mph here pretty much everywhere so it would save us loads on petrol if it did, but the other issue is it runs off a petrol engine initially and this takes time to heat up before the EV motor kicks in so not ideal for short school journeys.
With the PHEV version it's not an issue as it can run off electric only for 40 odd miles but it's a lot more expensive.
