Danns won’t be available and Gomez is fit but just hasn’t made the squad in the last two games.

McConnell definitely starts this one with Chiesa, Elliot and Endo. Jota might get 60 from the start. Diaz should get some game time too. I think Trent was only meant to be out for a couple of days so maybe he splits the game with Bradley. Think Ali will play this one.

      Ali
Bradley / Trent Gomez Quansah Timi
      McConnell Endo Elliot
      Chiesa Jota Diaz

Out of those only two would probably start in mid week and Diaz didn’t start today so might get minutes to keep him active plus he could do with a goal for a bit of a boost.

Yep I’d forgotten we’ve loaned Danns out. And yeah Joe to play some part if he’s ready.

Given the next game is against Everton, and they are likely to sit deep, I don't see Nunez starting that one, so I think he might get good minutes from the start this time round, with Diaz and Chiesa either side of him. Start Gakpo, Jota and Salah against Everton maybe.

I can't see all 3 of McConnell, Morton and Nyonyi starting. This isn't a dead rubber game. Arne'll go a little stronger than that.

                      Back 5
                      Elliot Mac-A McConnell
                      Chiesa Nunez Diaz

Then bring off Mac, Nunez, Diaz and Bradley early.
                      One tit for another.

                          Kelleher

                          Gomez Endo Quansah Tsimikas

                          Elliot McConnell Mac-Allister

                          Chiesa Diaz Nyoni

                          --------

                          Kelleher is our cup keeper
Gomez at right back (his original position at Charlton) to get back to fitness

Mac Allister to add some experience in midfield
McConnell and Elliot with youth and energy

Chiesa and Diaz with skill and experience
Nyoni because he's good and needs experience

I'd prefer Bradley to be nowhere near this game as his temperament is perfect for Everton.

Agree on Bradley if TAA is a doubt for EV

Morton is out for over a month but Ngumoha is likely to play.
