      A real gem.

I don't think I've ever seen him shoot in my life.

An absolutely superb all-round box-to-bos midfielder he may well be, but let's not get carried away here. He couldn't score with a golden cock.

If he gets more than 3 goals this season, I'll be astounded.

I have seen him shoot - at least thats what I think it was, overall he looks a really promising player. His energy and constant tackling is unbelievable, and if he can improve his passing and develop his 'brain' a bit he will be a great player for us.

Amazingly, didn't Momo start his career as a striker?!?

I saw him shoot and it was like a Steve McManaman long-range effort.

hehe - all we need then is a dodgy bounce over a half asleep Ian Walker for Momo to score his first

nice turn of phrase...also correct about Momo.
Shooting is hardly his strongest asset, is it?

No it isn't, but do we really need it to be?

Leave him to do what he's good at. Makelele couldn't score in a brothel either, but nobody criticises his contribution.

I think he looks bigger and stronger than last season and his tackles are getting more perfect by the minute. Plus he showed that he can pass the ball a little better and also dribble past defence (actually, this impressed me the most!)

                    Momo!
I was labelling him a "Black Robbie Savage" last season, because, if you distilled down his displays, all there really is, is running about a LOT and tackling. That's it.
His passing, shooting, and basic decision-making were poor.

I haven't seen the display the above post refers to, but it is heartening to hear about his improvements.

Id say, for the price he cost, he's Rafa's best signing...

Hopefully, we'll see Reina, Bellamy, Gonzalez and Pennant all in the running for that honour.

And Rafa's best signing - at any price - is still Xabi Alonso.

That transfer fee is ridiculous, a non goalscoring, non tackling central midfielder. Good passer mind but that''s.about.it.

I knew you would say Alonso....i knew Sissoko qualities before he joined us and he confirmed what I thought of him...A beast in midfield, perhaps the best defensive midfielder in England now...

                              Im off to Zurich...

I think he's rapidly becoming part of the Gerrard, Alonso, Carra, Pepe crew - players we never want to see leave
                                I live with Steptoe.
