I honestly cannot fathom how you can come to that conclusion.

I’m happy as a pig in ****! If this is the worst ref decision of the day then I’ll take it!
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Helps when he doesn't have to touch the ball

There were a lot of moving parts to that routine. Thought Robbo played well. One of the best thing about Slot though is he recognises when a player is fatiguing or starting to struggle and makes the change.
Typically about the time the heathens start to come in with ‘duh, his career is over’
Modifying post.

City were targeting our flanks the whole game and with +60% possession, Robbo and Trent were busy. I thought they both did well considering the opposition. We defended as a team and took our chances when we could.Originally posted by Buzzo View Post

Without Robbo's push at the front post, Dom doesn't get the time or space to put the ball back to Mo.
11pts clear, and everything is good in the world! We are here for a good time not a long time....

Think we played a big part in that too though.
We set up with more or less a 4-2-2-2 that was very narrow and that more or less ceded the wide positions, especially in the first half.
We seemed to be content to try and weather any threat from crosses (given they were missing their most effective aerial threat) and gamble that VVD and Konate would be able to handle the low crosses City were forced into attempted.
We then looked like the stacking of lines in more central positions was designed to try and suffocate them. Basically an attempt to bring them into deeper waters to drown them.
We seem to have been trying to fine tune this tactic the previous two games as well with more mixed results.
Does look a tactic that is almost rope a dope in nature and whilst it can allow the other team more time, especially out wide, it does force the other team to go into the spaces we are leaving for them to use and also forces the other team to try and press us more to get through the lines of blocks we have in place.
Would be interesting to see if we try the same tactic when we come up against a team with a more aerially dominant attack or with the sort of wingers that prefer to cut inside rather than go outside the full back.
I suspect against that sort of team we might see a return to a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-1-3/4-2-4.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

The way we have grown as a team, in game formation changes with shape shifting fluidity, so much praise for Slot.
We low blocked, but with subtle tweaks that snuffed out city with ease.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
