Imagine if we did go on to win the league with a pair of **** full backs

I suppose when you’re the luckiest team ever you can get away with anything

Having TAA and Bradley for the RB spot and Robbo and someone like Kerkez for the LB spot next season would be perfect. Plenty of options and they all offer different things depending on the game and tactics.

Robbo gets a lot of criticism and isn’t what he was but he’s adjusted things recently it feels like and has been better the last couple of months. And I saw something recently about TAA and he’s generally position this season and he’s gradually been staying more wide as the seasons gone on.

No way TAA is here next season

I’m still hopeful, won’t give up till it’s done either way. But it seems unlikely.

Well we won the CL with Djimi Traore
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

When I played football I was a right back or occasional center back. I feel somewhat qualified to say you can carry weak fullbacks in a team. Strikers, center backs, goalkeepers, center midfield less so.

I think at a higher level its much more difficult to carry passengers.
Think how many times konate has to drift out and double up to help trent.
When konate was out and quansah played in his position the drop off was so noticeable as quansah struggled to play both positions.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Our defence has let in only 26 goals in the League this season only Arsenal have conceded fewer with 23, next is Forest lauded as defensive masters this season with 33. Plus we’ve only conceded 5 in the 9 champions league games so far this season, 3 of them in a dead rubber.

We’ve somehow managed to do that with 2 **** full backs.
                        Modifying post.

Obviously, in an ideal world you have 11 first teamers but it often doesn't work like that through the season. As you say Quansah has filled in and Gomez and they aren't as effective but its rarely a disaster as it's only at full back. Try having a CM fill in at CB/GK and see what happens.

Even the mighty Real had Valverde playing RB against AM the other night. A poor CB will cause much more problems than a poor FB essentially. Gary Neville had a great career FFS.

And I do have a soft spot for the position, obviously.
