Outwith the hyperbole there are elements of what you say that I agree wit in terms of him managing game time.

If we weren’t on a 26 game unbeaten run and top of the League with Salah on for his second best season with us…

The fact is when Salah gets the ball we expect a goal or an assist and that mainly happens, but none of the other forwards are posting anywhere near the sort of numbers he is he is a decisive player in games we win.

If he has a quieter game (where he still occupies a player and tends to recycle the ball well) then the ‘he’s ****ing ****e’ crowd are out in force.


Has he been quiet last few games - yes.

Would I still start him every game until the end of the season - 100% yes. And that’s nothing to do with the contract situation which will not be coming into it at for Slot.

I wouldn’t be opposed to it, but I’d like to see him start and be hooked on 60, or at least let that be a possibility, depending on how he’s playing. He should have been hooked ahead of Diaz yesterday. His recent poor form is surely due to being overplayed, and Elliot has done enough to deserve more minutes.

Can’t believe Chiesa didn’t get any minutes yesterday, after being the silver lining from the cup final. Give him a go ffs. I’d like to see him start up top. Even though Jota got a class goal, I still don’t think he’s right, and think he’d be a lot more affective coming on for the last 20/25 min against tired legs.

Yep it’s weird feeling frustrated with Slot over this when we are walking away with the league but his insistence on playing certain players & freezing out others is strange.

It's getting a bit frustrating not seeing players that clearly have desire *and* ability get at least 10 or 15 minutes on the pitch. I think Chiesa can be our new Shaqiri if only he was trusted on the pitch.

Not sure he had much choice, did he? Bradley is only just back from injury, and no TAA. I suppose he could have tried Tsimikas there. Not to say Jones didn't do a good job there though.
I guess he could play Quansah there as well.

On this.basis, I cant seea future for the likes.of Elliott, Endo or Chiesa. If all 3 superstars dont sign, plus the likes of Timmy and Nunez. Plus another centreback. Thats 9 squad replacements we need to.have a viable squad for next season. I dont think thats likely, but it feels like all those players are not wanted by Slot (plus the expirees). Plus the centreback we never bought and the left back we need.
