I think its cause he turned his head before hitting it so they can claim he wasnt looking when he hit it.
In normal world thats a penalty.
I think his arm was out to stop him colliding with his own no.4, but yes very lucky not to concede a pen there. I wonder if we'll see a spate of 'no-look' hand balls?
He looks to be sliding so presumably his arm is out to stop him sliding into someone, but in category of seen them given. The cynic in me says that's a pen we never get, but I imagine teams playing against us would...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
I dont believe hes got his arm up to stop himself. He's not travelling that fast. He's also leaning back as his feet are shuffling. He can stop instantly, which he does. Besides he would have used his friends back to stop himself, not the back of his head. Thats a blatant purposeful handball.
He looked away cos the players in front of him missed the ball, so he suddenly had a ball flying at his face. Natural reaction to look away. But still, ball hit his up raised hand, so should have been a penalty.
