Guys, if you wish to create a new thread to discuss this there are no objections, I'm just not willing to wade in on what can and cant be said in such a sensitive threads.

So Klopps 2020 team vs slots 24/25 team. Which team wins?

Would be 2020 for me I think. It sounds crazy to say but perhaps on gravenberch or Mac Alister could be debated as in contention for a combined XI

Nobody from Slot's team would get into Klopp's team, imho (except maybe Hendo for Macca, but I think I prefer Hendo for the engine in that system, even though Macca is a far better player).

This team is built on the same backbone as Klopp's but everyone is in decline by this point.

The back 4 and Ali were in their prime. Trent was the best player in the team. Salah had pace, and actually combined well with Bobby and Mane. I think Fab was better than Grav, and Gini was better than Dom.

To be fair, though Slot hasnt really bought his "team" in yet. So it would be more interesting to revisit this in a couple of years.

Being that this team is mostly Klopp's, it would be as interesting to see what Slot would have done with the 2020 side. Personally I loved the days where we blew teams off the pitch in the first 20 minuites. But Slot's team just doesnt have the legs or depth to be able to do that now.

Haha United with the 2nd largest wage bill & finish 15th. Everton should be a -3 not a +3.

Forest, Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth star performers and all grouped together.

                Class managers all 4.

That image is wildly off. We're second (380m), united third. Villa's is £250 and like 90 odd percent of revenue.

                  Not sure of the source.

What? £380m wage bill per year you say?

There's no way City should be able to afford that wage bill. They've got less than half of Manchester and 3 fans abroad.
                        Really?

As big Jim said in his interview with Gary Neville, when you take away all the players that united have been paying to play for other clubs, and when you take away the players that are injured, then their wage bill is only about 7th or 8th highest.......so they have only underperformed by circa 7 or 8 places.......

Bookies favourites for league and CL next year.

Who expected us to be in this position of 18 months ago, when Klopp announced he was leaving?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
