Anyone have a clue why he doesn't just put his foot through it when in a shooting position? He could easily be well into double figures if he just whacked it.

Maybe he’s just playing the % game. He keeps the ball very close to his feet so it’d be difficult to generate the power needed to beat the keeper when he’s in tight spaces but yeah there’s times when we all must think just leather it.

Yeah he can receive the ball in positions where you think he cannot hold on to it, then a second later he is either after turning to run with the ball or has pinged it off to someone that is not under pressure.

Get more run makers and linkers around him and he will just keep play moving at a pace all game long.

Damien duff was much later surely.. ambramovich/Rafa times..
