    27 successful passes from 32 attempted - 84%

There's at least 2 of the uncompleted passes included in the clip above.

I only see positives personally in what he will bring to the party. I’m certainly not desperate to create a crisis or rush to a negative judgement after 5 games. For me that was a solid 75 min performance. He will improve.
Totally agree he’s finding his feet

Selective highlights didn't include him losing the ball and misplacing passes?

Agreed, thought he should he showed good strength on the ball on a number of occasions. His passing was sharp too.

A good step in the right direction from him tonight.

For 120m or whatever it is we need a lot more than just tidy. I didn't even think he was that tidy either tonight to be honest. It's very early and that price tag although not his fault comes with an expectation to hit the ground running, harsh but also true. The only blessing is that we've been winning all our games even if we haven't been playing well, so the focus isn't on him. It would be great to see him getting a few returns soon though, think he needs it for his confidence.

He’s definitely not hiding out there. He’s putting the work in defensively and is always looking for the ball and to make something happen. He looks like he’s is try to take some authority and take control and responsibility for the attack which is great to see even if it hasn’t all clicked for him yet.

I don't see him being able to do much on the left. Don't people see how physical defenders get with the likes of Gakpo and Salah? I think the odds are low that he'll suddenly start tap-dancing past defenders and serve chances up on a plate. And it would be a big admission from Slot that "The Plan" vis-à-vis Wirtz in the team, is out of the window.

Thought he played well tonight, unlucky a couple of times and should have been more selfish on others. Young lad coming in with a big price tag on his shoulders, comes across quite shy. Once he comes out of his shell he’ll rip it up.

Yeah same. His intelligence on the ball and ability to play a pass for someone to run on to is impressive. A couple of our counter attacks second half were him getting on the ball and releasing Dom. Nice pass into Isak first half. Lead one outstanding break when he and Dom kind of got in each others way.

    Not 10/10 - but decent.

This is the perfect example of when stats do not tell the full story imo. Sounds like he had a worldie with those stats. Thought he struggled myself.
