    Interesting interview with Kelleher in The Independent;

    Linky

    This bit caught my eye:-

    I stay in touch with some of the guys there, I have a lot of good friends there. It’s a very difficult time for them, a difficult season, with circumstances that people probably aren’t taking into account too much. But it’s probably been a bit easier for me, being away from it, and not being in such close proximity to it every day.

    “I find it a bit strange and a bit difficult when I hear people speaking about the players at Liverpool and the performances, because I don’t think this season is even important from a football aspect for them to be honest. It’s more about them personally and mentally.

    He did, though think if a player is going to make **** stirring comments ( the oh I know something is wrong but will keep it to myself after saying just enough to have people speculating type comments), then said player better be one of those putting in good performances and not looking half arsed a lot of the time.

    If they don’t stamp it out at junior level I’d hate to see where it leads in 10 years time.

Before you would hear comments about the keeper being the most protected person ont he field if they had been fouled during a corner and free kick given. Saw it often, heard it often. Now with arsenal fouling and impeding the keepers at will I dont hear them saying this and other teams have been doing it. Same goes for players going down easy. Before it would be oh we dont like to see that sort of thing etcetc. Now its all any slight contact and the player will go down, but more in a kind of positive thing, again with arsenal flopping non stop in every game like dying fish. Now I'm seeing way more diving everywhere. I curse that we stay on our feet so much while everyone else brings their sleeping bags.
    I watched the highlights of our U18’s against Derby on the weekend & one of their strikers got 2, yes 2 yellow cards for diving which was refreshing to see a Ref with the guts to do it.

    Nowt odd about that, they either get a move in this window or its another half a season playing minor cup games and hoping to get on as a sub.

    Also those two players in particular were known to be very close to Jota.
