Who was better than Salah in the entire division as a forward last season??? Forwards are judged on match winning moments goals and assists. If you provide so many of these that your team wins the ****ing league Id suggest you a had a decent season.

You’ve been peddling this narrative for years and now that you are right in this moment you are right all along. Because you and some others ‘know football’ better??? It’s classic stopped clock behaviour.

He’s ****ed himself for sure by speaking out on Saturday. And he’s been sub pa this season but only when judged against his own outputs and after Saturdays outburst he will most likely be off in either Jan or the Summer.

But this revisionist ‘expert understanding - that only the special few who really know football’ could ever understand that some claim to have is fairly laughable. Salah is coming towards the end of his career in terms of elite level so of course you were going to be right eventually - but it wasn’t last season.

It would be like down grading Halaand ‘sure 100 goals in 100 games - but what the **** else does he do? Some games he only touches the ball once or twice in a half’.
    This ^.

28 goals and 18 assists in 38 games. But out with that he was clearly gash.

If you just look at stats then sure he was potentially the best player in the world. If you actually watch football and can take the mo-coloured glasses off then he didn't actually play that well. He was awful in a lot of games last season, he'd just always pop up for that one moment eventually (which happens when most of the play is run through you).
He was doing all the **** things he's been doing this season. Running into fullbacks trying to dribble past them. Blazing shots over the bar, weak attempts straight at the keeper, burning teammates in much better spots, not defending at all. Its just that he'd provide that one little moment of magic (or be in the right spot at the right time - a skill in itself and of course take all the penalties to pump the numbers)
Ive been told before on here that that's not papering over cracks, but its pretty much is the definition of it in my book. Now the goals have dried up all this other stuff becomes much more apparent for people. The cracks have opened up. But some of us have seen this coming a long time ago.

I think he has and he doesn't. It's possible that someone can find a niche use for him, but as a starter, I don't see it. He needs to go and bully some second rate players in another league.

And not just first team - up to DOF also.

Apart from a few players everyone has dropped right off and of the new signings only Ekitike has really stood out. Wirtz has shown his qualities but I think that’s more how good he is rather than the manager finding a way to get the best out of him because he’s so much better than what we’ve seen.

This Woy you talk of I don’t remember but then I have about a 6 month period before Kenny came back that is blank for some reason

Bombing Salah out will be the first step toward turning this around.
