If confirmed, its a sickener for him. Good that Gomez decided not to move. Odds on we are back in for Guehi or an alternative in the window

I can tell you who has looked good without VVD beside them for months! Big Nat!

Lousy news for the kid. He's young, he's strong and hopefully he can come back full tilt. It does leave us short at the back, 100% going in for a CB in January now.

Joe Gomez did his ACL pretty soon after he signed for us as a kid, I hope Leoni doesn’t go down the same trajectory now. He’ll have a load of people in the squad to support him and who’ve recovered - Gomez, VVD and Wirtz have all recovered from that injury

              What utter bull****

A really strong debut in a position where the competition is looking a bit weak.

Hopefully he will be back stronger.

Knew the moment we declared no injuries fate would get someone to hold its beer

When the Guehi deal fell apart, it was written in the stars. Konate or Gomez injury incoming!

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Its such **** luck, but he’s still only 18 so it’s probably easier to rehab it than if he were in his late 20s or 30s

Absolutely gutted for him & for us. We got a taste of how good he is & then bam.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Predicted to be a full 12 months that he is out.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot on Giovanni Leoni: "He is not in a good place because he tore his ACL which means he will be out around a year.
"Being so young and coming to a new country and playing so well in your first game, it's very hard to take the positives.
"There is never a positive side but you try to look at that and that is that he is still so young and he has so many years still go to after he recovers from a terrible injury."

Is that 6 months of inaction, then strength building for 6 months, or a complete 12 months inaction, and then another year building up fitness?
