You’re certainly the front runner for the Smart Ass Of The Week award. If I was a bookie I’d pay out now in fact
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

In boxing it means 7 to 9 months recovering once the surgery has taken place and that's assuming the surgery was straight forward and the same with the rehab.

In a sport like football, hurling or rugby it usually means adding 2 or so months onto that before a full return to the sport at a competitive level, so Buzzo's 12 months would be close to the mark. The season is a write off for the kid imo.

He's just ratty because his attempts at clothes shopping, sorry I mean shop lifting, came to naught.

I'm so gutted for the lad. He only played about 80 minutes but he looked the real deal and didn't put a foot wrong. I sincerely hope this is a one-off and that he isn't hampered by any residual effects after his recovery.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Absolutely devastating for him really, potentially career ending as well. What a nightmare!

12 months also tends to be exactly a year which is what arne says in buzzo's quote.

Smart arse of the year runner up goes to me. Proudly accepted

Yeah he’s done for the season imo. Would be little point risking him when he’ll get summer to rest and rehab further and then hopefully be good to go for pre season.

This is ****e, he’s going to have to go out on loan when he’s recovered - will probably set him back by 2 years all in all
