    Yep, embarrassing.

Defence was our issue in the first few games but we defended very well today, all five defenders involved. So many set pieces and we won all of the big headers and limited then to very few opportunities.

Clear as day that a) Wirtz needs time and b) Dom has to play.

It’s a tricky situation for Slot - unless Szob is happy playing RB long term. Or we push Wirtz out wide left.
      Play a 4-3-1-2

Dom, Grav and Mac in a midfield three with Wirtz infront of them and behind a front two.
Kerkez and Frimpong provide the width.

        Agreed, but unlikely to happen.

At least the ref didn't **** up the game.

Arne Slot says Florian Wirtz is not injured it was just a “welcome to the Premier League, he didn’t know he could have cramp in so many different places”

The team looked really fit and strong today. Didn’t get bullied or knocked about and never looked like they would run out of energy.

**** me Arsenal are boring, Set peice specialist blah, blah, even from the kick off the went rugby long to gain yardage. I gte marginal gains but this aint footie FFS, Newcastle did it Monday, its ****ing boring FFS.

Wirtz just could not get into it, a little to quick same with Etikeke, probably a wee it to fast at the mo but it will come, and when it does **** me we will be ****ing brilliant.

Zuba for Arsenal, looked good, proper Aston Martin player there, not at the RR/Bentley stage, but he will come good, thought Rice was absolute ****e TBH, went missing a lot.

                Sloz, what a player

I’m back to trying to avoid all social media and posting during games, let’s see how long that lasts again

Our defense was superb, VVD a colossus and Dom has channeled his inner Zanetti the past two games. Kerkez did well vs a tricky opponent and a special shout to Joe who was brilliant when he came on.

Macca was rusty and CJ made a big difference when he came on, I thought Wirtz grew into the game and Grav was solid.

Mo was off form, 3 times he butchered a simple set. It’s hard to know if the Jota situation is playing on his mind. He seems to be not his usual clinical self. Oh a special shout to Endo for the best yellow ever.

TBH, there was nothing between us but a bit of magic and yet all the pundits are going to town on them. We did brilliant for their set pieces and Gyokeres looks a flat track bully

Agreed, Mo was ****e, Macca was Rusty but it defo showed Gyokeres isn't PL standard, Jesus looks better than him, early days, but he didn't get a kick

I personally thought from the start of the second half to the goal we were starting to go through the gears. First half was appalling from both teams. But that period before the goal there were real signs of the players clicking - particularly from when Jones came on. I’d say that’s why we deserved the win.

What surprised me was that all Arsenal had were set pieces they seem so focussed on corners. They didn’t really trouble us much in open play - I genuinely expected more from them.

Agree on Gomez, he was excellent when he came on.

I wanted to mention that I thought the ref was pretty good today and let a bit of physicality go which I thought was refreshing.

Shows how far refereeing standards have fallen that people need to comment when a ref has a decent game and doesn't make any ****ups.

                              Have they actually though?

Referees have been criticised from the start of the game and forever will be.

There's an abundance of evidence to suggest that refs in conjunction with VAR are making absolute awful decisions that are directly impact results of games

Couple of examples from the weekend
The Fulham 'foul' that saw a perfectly good goal ruled out for Fulham.
Several contentious decisions in the Man U Vs Burnley game
