Poor first half. We offered literally **** all.

Sounds odd against a defensive team, but we have too many attackers on the pitch (again). There are no lines to run in behind or in-between, just a massive blob of defenders and attackers with no space. They need pulling out of the block with midfield possession. We are too impatient and our formation is too top heavy. As with all of games so far, I think we'd look better with a double pivot in CM and Wirtz as the number 8 and two attackers, with the fullbacks making width. And as with the other games, it's Salah that should be on the bench.

Same as last season it’s always more about the second half under Slot. I never really expect us to be all out early in most games and manage things and then get going in the second half.

I don’t think the team has been poor. They’re getting into good situations just a bit off with the last part. Wirtz is again getting into little pockets but there isn’t anyone for him to pick out a lot of the time.

Gravenberch is brilliant isn’t he. Some of his turns to move the ball forward is ridiculous.

Looks like Bradley is coming on so I guess the initial assessment of Mac Allister has not been good. It was a dreadful challenge and for the Burnley fans to moan about it and boo Mac Allister just demonstrates what fantastic fans they have. not.
