I thought he looked a bit sluggish against Everton but the minutes will still do him some good.

Hopefully Arne starts him vs Southampton & he gets off the mark with a hatrick

His movement off the ball is also going to create space and opportunities for other players. A lot of focus will be on Isak and Salah so others should be able to take advantage.

Nice play. He'll enjoy playing with these players.

He was about as tidy as Wirtz - another big signing that will have to find their feet and develop relationships with other players.

Look right at home straight away and linked up with everyone out there.

Created a couple of shoots on goal out of nothing. Can’t wait to get him match fit.

Decent first outing, got into some good positions but clearly lacking match sharpness.

Newcastle didn't have their ducks in a row for the transfer window at all. In terms of incomings or outgoings. I think they will end up having an ok season tbh though.
To be fair, before the window the only squad position we were obviously short on was CB, and we sold Quansah before we got a proper replacement leaving Gomez as our only experienced backup. Any other window we would all have been moaning about that.

Its not always easy to plan for the future when another club buys your target then your best player in the sane position [emoji16]

Hopefully we’ve the title wrapped up and it’s a dead rubber for us… but we beat them anyway to deny them a CL spot or something

Eddie Howe has exposed the lingering animosity between Newcastle United and Liverpool over the transfer of Alexander Isak by saying that the player changed as soon as “ the other club ” got involved this summer.

Howe’s refusal to name Liverpool spoke volumes about how Newcastle perceive the Premier League champions’ role in unsettling Isak.
Replace 'Isak' with 'Wissa', and then ask how high his club can hold their heads.
