If guess ankle ligaments which is also nasty - we need a CB badly and now perhaps another forward…..I was so happy post transfer window and now all the gaping holes are there to see

Always said I was happy with the business that we had done but was more concerned about the business we hadn't done.

We have 16 outfield players that he would trust to start (at least a couple of whom are fairly injury prone) 2 guys he doesn't trust to start and 3 kids. A few injuries and/or suspensions like we have at the moment and it always felt inevitable we'd be down to the bare bones

We have Gakpo, Wirtz, Rio, Chiesa, Dom and Ekiteke who can all play there btw

Again, everything I have seen suggests that City are far advanced with him. Semenyo looks to be hot from his performances right now and I'm not sure how he'd fair against packed defences where we dominate the ball. At Bournemouth he plays on the counter mostly and £65m is a fair wedge. I think Rogers was the one, we were linked in the summer and he looks great off the left for Villa now.

I think a defender and a midfielder are more needed tbh - up front we have Gakpo, Ekiteke, Salah (when back), Chiesa (I know), Frimpong, Rio and both Wirtz and Dom can do a job.

In midfield we have no cover as all 4 are being played now and at CB if Konate gets injured it's Robbo
