Given the lack of a proper preseason, it could be Nov/Dec something before he gets up to speed

He just looks way off it so far. Class player but he needs balls over to top and through the channels. He plays on the shoulder of defenders and for the moment we haven't got to grips with the way he plays.

Yeah movement for his chances was top class but doesn’t look match fit yet.

He got a few nice little passes today that got him in behind. This setup might work better for him. He would have scored in the second half the way the game went. Hopefully the injury isn’t serious.

The lack of a proper preseason is definitely still an issue but he’ll come good.

Came off with a groin injury, missed a fair bit of time with Newcastle due to groin/pelvic injuries.

                    He looks frail.

Just needs a groove to get into, he'll come good - I just hope quickly enough so we are still in contention for stuff this season
I make no apologies, this is me

He's really off the pace and clearly lacking match fitness and sharpness, not really unexpected at all given how stuff played out in the summer. Hopefully he can get up to speed and be good come the busy period around Christmas.

I wouldn't rush him back now. He needs to get over this latest injury properly and work on some regeneration and getting his fitness back. I'd be playing him in some games with the youngsters for a while to gain some match sharpness.

Either way, I think Ekitike is our clear and obvious No.9 for the time being. Isak needs to work out his fitness and form issues from the bench. That just is what it is.

Yeah might be a bit of a blessing that Isak is out, his style of running the channels and looking for the ball between the lines or over the top doesn't seem to suit us 'yet' & he just look so far off it physically. Ekitike's link play seems alot more inline with the way the rest of the lads play. If we could find a way to unlock both ways, Isak could be a beast here. Currently he has been pretty shocking to be honest.
