Is as simple as the better team on the day getting the win.

Palace were good value for it and for every really good save we forced out of Henderson, there was even better saves by Allison.

We had similar happening last season though. A lot of scraping by during the opening 10 days with a loss to Forest happening early on in the season.Even some of the games that we won two nil early on last season were hard earned.

The coming five games in the league are going to be interesting. All five games are against teams that will either come at us or that traditionally give us tough games.

Do think we may look better against the two best attacking teams of the five though (Chelsea and City) as both those teams will be more inclined to go punch for punch with us and we have no team that we should fear in such a scenario.

Who I would be giving a run as a starter though is Gomez. Konate is proving to be a tad error prone thus far and is not as though Gomez does not have a very good track record when it comes to partnering VVD. A bit of time out of the starting line up might be good for Konate.

Do wonder if we might see Salah come off at about the 60 to 65 minute mark in a few games too. Maybe have him told in advance so instead of conserving energy to do a full 90, he can leave it all out there for an hour or so.

Isak was clipped, commentary confirmed it, so why no review?
Why wasn't Isak and others right up to the ref to demand it?
Wirtz looked like he was contributing as much as anyone else
Chiesa should start midweek and then again if he performs well

With Diaz gone and Salah fading, we don't have anyone who can take on a full back other than a 17 year old, which contributes to our predictability. We complained about Diaz's end product but he'd run the line, dribble past the fullback, play quick one twos in the corner, get to the byline and cut the ball back, and none of our senior players can do that. Gakpo is the closest, but does not have the skill on the ball to keep defenders guessing, he is going to cut inside for a right footed shot. Actually, the most nimble footed with the ball at his feet is probably Isak but we need him in the box.

Yes no width or pace out wide. Everything cuts back inside and teams are just packingvthe centre. Frimpong might make a better right winger than Salah at this point.

I think we have a massive problem in working out how to play. Its all a bit too predictable

Wirtz right now would be perfect if we could have 12 men on the pitch - we are the best when we have three all round midfielders with three dynamic forwards.

Until Wirtz adapts to the PL, he's a bit of a luxury player, but at the same time, he won't adapt unless he plays more.

We need new wingers though, Adeyimi would be perfect on the right, Rodrygo on the left.

Because he kept his feet and still got the shot away.

If he'd gone down he'd have likely got a penalty as the defender clearly gets his foot, same as Frimpong's incident.

This is why players dive unfortunately
