Who's the CB? Marc Guehi? He might more composed than Konate but we could be introducing another set-piece vulnerability into the heart of the defence.

Who are the fullbacks/wingbacks? A speed merchant like Frimpong could be dangerous but I don't see how a change in formation is necessarily going to help us against low-blocking teams. We're already getting plenty of possession but can't do anything with it. We need better quality players with individual talent that can do something against their opponents.

I agree that Guehi might not be the one, he's maybe not the beast of a CB we need, he's all game intelligence and skill and we might need bigger pile of meat like Dan Burn,

I agree that Gerrard isn't the answer, but as a brief interim it might be okay. There is enough quality and enough muscle memory of success that great tactical insight might not be needed to start winning a few games.
