Only way it take him on a temporary basis was if he was the figure head who could inspire the team but had a guy to do the real work and tactics behind him.

If Gerrard got the gig, then it would make a mockery of the role in my opinion. It'd be throwing the plan out of the window.

If klopp wouldn't come home, then iraola would be getable.

The weird thing of this game is we looked like we were going to batter them in the period after they scored to half time.

I thought all momentum was with us.

We only see the outputs, but something definitely isn’t right.

It's the job of Edwards and Hughes to always have a contingency plan. Comes with that type of job.

There wasn't much end product though. Reminded me of when I was a young fella going to Gorbys (Doc and Nev will know) throwing some serious shapes and banking on getting my hole but ending up with a hillbillies breast in a bun before going home for a wank.

                  Anyway I digress.

We are too predictable and so is Slot. Chiesa for Konate was a ****in sick joke. Again. We are ****ed imo. He needs to do something ffs. I think he needs to change the formation. Go with a 442 and keep Salah off the wing. He has to be one of 4 options for an up front spot imo. I'd have a narrow 442 with Szoboslai right hand side. Have the full backs overlap. Simplify the game to these cunts. Have Gravenberch and Macallister sit in front of the center backs.

I'm good looking so never had the same experiences there as you and Nev.

                    Especially Nev

Agree about the predictability though. Being predictable is fine when what you are doing works, but once it does not work you are just cutting your own throat...or having yet another post Gorbys wank.

I thought we were the better side against Forest up until their goal, it's like we just fall apart when something goes against us.

Today we had 27 shots to their 9, 55 touches in the opp box to their 16 and lost 4-1

How many of those 27 shots were genuine chances though.

Did anyone else notice that in the first 5 minutes or so whenever they slowed it down at the back the crowd reacted. I haven’t heard that for a long time.

This is the problem, we are having lots of long shots and decent number of touches in and around the box, but almost all of our best chances came from corners and generally we are **** at corners. We rarely look like scoring fro open play when we attack. The attack lacks movement and any fluidity or cohesive approach. And when your defence is shipping goals like they are at the moment defeats are inevitable.

PSV at home, Champions League, 26th November

Took a look at the goals and the players simply aren't working hard enough.

1st goal - error from van dyke. Why the hell was his arm up?
2nd goal - Salah losing a 1v1 led to the move for this goal. Salah's challenge was weak and the PSV player got by him. Then Mac Alister didn't come across quick enough to stop him carrying the ball forward. Then Kerkez didn't put any pressure on the goalscorer who got in front of him.
3rd goal - Konate wasn't hard enough in the tackle and the player got by him to shoot

Goals 2 and 3 might be in the wrong order.

We have no squad depth and the players are lightweight.

No new players in until January at the earliest.

Slot needs to get the players fired up and focused for 95 mins
