Yeah he’s ****ed if he keeps going with the same strategy. I’ll caveat that with that it may work in the CL but he 100% has to try something different in the League.

Indications Gomez could play CB in place of Konate (which many have been demanding).

I get the calls to drop Konate but why don’t they try something different and make sure the defence actually has some support and cover. Play Gomez at RB so Konate has better help defensively and then he has people on either side who are better on the ball than him. And don’t just send all the midfielders forward and leave that huge gap between the defence and attack. There is then more help for the defence both bringing the ball out from the back and defending.

Let Kerkez play his game and attack and let Gomez be more balanced or stay back so there is always three back there with Gravenberch sitting ahead of them as a 6 again. You still have plenty of players getting forward but have good cover at the back.

I do agree Konate should be dropped but considering the options available this might be the best option unless you play Endo somewhere in defence as well as Gomez. Can VVD play as the right sided CB and Robertson as the left sided CB? Doubt it but at least it would be something different not just the same thing that’s not working over and over.

I'd like to see Grav and Jones play midfield and tell them to sit a bit deeper. Put Szoboslai on the right of midfield and wirtz on the left.....bit allow them both to play narrow. Get width from the full backs. With Ekitike and Isak up front.

I think I'd nearly prefer to see Robbo or Kerkez play right back than see Dom there.
