I find the Isak situation really odd, he played 86mins and barely touched the ball. I know he's an out and out forward / goalscorer, but at Newcastle when I saw them he did at least also seem involved in build up play.

Clearly he not fully fit and needs some minutes to gain fitness but given how Ekitike started to season giving Isak 86mins and Ekitike 20mins is baffling. I guess that it will benefit Isak and the club later in the season, but probably not as much as winning games now and building confidence
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I got angry initially because every second counts and we were chasing the win but then I burst out laughing

He was the focal point, lighting quick wingers pumping balls into the box for him & midfielders grabbing possession and looking for him straight away in the channels and behind opposition defence & surely that's exactly why we bought him, same why we had our reasons to buy Wirtz & the same why we had our reasons to buy Kerkez.... because we valued the particular way they played the game.

I've given him, Wirtz and Kerkez a bit of stick for being a bit ****. Wirtz looks weak as piss, Isak has looked a bit lazy & Kerkez headless since they joined but I think we might have to see how they perform under the next guy because everyone just can't play abysmal at same time & guys have gone form world class or top class to looking like they've never kicked a ball before, it doesn't add up & it's clearly a systemic issue that Slot genuinely doesn't look like he knows how to solve.

I wonder if sunderland will rest all the players who got multiple concussions during the match.
