So poor from Slot again. Macca on… no out ball… ridiculous.

Konate has never been this bad. He’s been an inconsistent player at times but even at his worst never even close to this level.

Why have all the players except a few completely dropped off. It’s not like it’s one or two, even VVD is off his game.

For me this is down to the manager. You don’t have every player lose their form at the same time. Add in how mentally weak they’ve become. He’s the leader of the club so its down to Slot.

We can complain about konate"s defending, but we scored two of our goals from defensive mistakes too. It's not as if there was an imbalance there.

That’s why they are near bottom of the league - we shouldn’t be offering up gifts like that if we are a serious team

The first wasn’t even because of any pressure from pressing just a terrible pass.

Virg is declining, so is not making his CB partner look better than he actually is, and the effects ripple through the whole defence.

We've got age-related decline with Virg/Salah, some players blowing hot and cold, and some new players that aren't showing why big money was lashed on them.

I am a bit confused. You seem to be comparing games when we were trying to get back into it with this one, where we were ahead.

I'm of the opinion in past games he should have shored up the midfield even in the games we were chasing and seeking an equaliser instead of launching on a load of attackers knowing there's pretty much zero chance of getting back into a game when we're 3-4 nil down, that's just bad management.

I think had he done more of what he did today we'd have been able to control games more effectively.

He's not at fault today for the players capitulation and stupidity.

I’m about as one eyed as it comes when it comes to pen decisions. But he made contact and got nowhere near the ball. We’d be howling for it the other way.

It was a pen for me Clive

I admit he will have to play sometimes but when Gomez is fit to play he should play CB and Konate is out of the side. In Jan we need to bring someone in as soon as the window opens be it Guehi or someone else. Because he is making mistakes game after game.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

People were talking about him as being a top 5 CB in the world not long ago which I always thought was BS but the mistakes we have benefitted from have been from average (at best) PL defenders. For someone supposedly world class those mistakes should be a couple of times a season at worst. Konate has been a total disaster for much of this season

Certainly with you on Konate. He's always an accident waiting to happen and this season has been quite impatient.
                              Really?

Perhaps not under normal circumstances but given our recent form going back to basics and defending a lead for the last 10 isn't a bad plan as long as you know what you are doing.
