Could also play Dom wide right but yeah I like the look of your front 3
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

What’s the best way to play it? Two up top with Wirtz behind. Or Isak up top with those two on either side. A combination of both they drop wide without the ball and play narrow with it and let Bradley and Kerkez provide the width.

Back to a three man midfield with Dom, Gravenberch and one of Jones or Mac Allister. And Gomez in for Konate.

I'd like to see something similar to West Ham away but with Ekitike instead of Gakpo. Also, Bradley at right back with Gomez instead of Konate please. And maybe Robbo at left back but it might also be nice to see Kerkez play without Gakpo ignoring his good runs.

                Something like

                Becker

                Bradley Gomez Virgil Robbo

                Szoboslai Gravenberch Jones Wirtz

                Isak Ekitike

I don't know what slot will do sub wise. Whichever left back gets left out will no doubt come on at some stage and it wouldn't surprise me to see both Robbo and Kerkez play on the left side at the same time in the second half.

It's a pity none of our 3 big attacking signings seem to be able to play 90 minutes yet. Which is ****in disgraceful when we are into December.

Would be beautiful to Isak touch the ball more than 20 times tomorrow

                ........

Slot said Gakpo is out for a couple of weeks, so with Mo at AFCON, we might see this.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

I'd like to see Rio get a few games but Slot hasn't really shown a huge amount of faith in the youngsters

If he's unwilling to, Grav with Dom and Mac Allister either side of him, and Wirtz behind Isak and Ekitike would be interesting to see

Gakpo and Chiesa must have knocks.

Might be a lack of faith but think it might be more likely that the younger players are not being dropped into a badly misfiring team as it would not offer a lot of positives for their development to do so imo.

I think I read that Slot has a history of under utilising young players, even from his time at Feyenoord. So quite different to Klopp

                            That gets said a lot.

Just had a look at Slot's title winning team at Feyenoord (Season beginning August 2022) and a big chunk of his regulars are only turning 23 to 26 now in 2025 so he would have had a lot of young players playing week in week out for him.

He had no regular (anyone that played more that 20 times in the league) that was 30 or over, the closest being Alireza Jahanbakhsh who turned 29 during that season.

The more I read through the squad listing for that league winning season it is starting to look like a very young title winning team as it looks to be mostly made up with players that in 2022 were between 21 and 24 with one guy being 29.

Link to where I got the squad listing

i was kind of hoping Inter give us a proper stuffing and Madrid suffer the same fate so we can get Xabi in. He was the one i always wanted here.

But now Me Salah's acted like a selfish little brat i want us to pump Inter and show all these fair-weather Mo FC fans on twitter that footballs a team game and we're a better team when he's not running into fullbacks and giving the ball away 50 times a game.

I don't think we are moving away from wide players in the long term given the links to Semenyo and others. I suspect it's Isak through the middle and Wirtz and Ekitike either side. As for midfield Jones ahead of MacAllister on form at the moment.

Bradley has been getting forward and Kerkez has been making runs but Gakpo has never been passing to him hopefully these changes in personnel will work
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
