Same as those wanting Gomez in the team, that went predictably. Neither should be at the club never mind in the team.

This is about as bad as it gets. We're an absolute mess, we rarely make the right ball, we seem obsessed with recycling to the detriment of absolutely everything.

Awful game, awful tactics. Piss poor.

We seem to have gaping holes in the squad after spending a fortune in the summer and a manager who has no idea how to construct any systematic improvements in the team

        This is horrible

Yeah even with the few wins and draws with favorable fixtures, we still have zero identity under Slot and still look fragile. So I guess we keep chugging along week to week and hope for the best.

More proof we need to bring in a pacy forward player in this window...

I can't remember a game where I understood the tactics, the plan or the subs. When did we last shower a team with shots on target?

This is so so poor. Game after ge of total drivel.

Slot is not the man. We all know it.
When there's a better coach on the market we'll pull the trigger. He's a dead man walking, contract talks pulled.

Gomez is way better than Chiesa.

                "An absolute mess" drama-queening much.

Don’t understand why you take Frimpong off and move Szoboszlai to RB and lose any real threat down the right. Rio did well coming on and it would have been better to have both wingers on either side to stretch the game. There was a few times late on when there was so much space down the right but no one was there to make the most of it because Frimpong came off. It can’t be fitness as there was only 7 minutes left.

And whats with the constant moving it back infield when there is space outside. They could have got plenty more crosses in late on but wanted to bring the ball back inside over and over. It’s so frustrating.

Head ache inducing football. It’s so disjointed. The formation and set up is hard to decipher. We are relying on either moments of magic or deflections to get any sort of attacking impetus. We don’t seem capable of building real pressure. Slots not had the answers all season.

His subs are so random. Takes Bradley off to put Frimpong at RB and then takes Frimpong off to put Dom at RrB. Three Right backs in about 10 mins. First sub - Robbo for Kerkez, Gakpo for Wirtz and Jones for Bradley.. It’s just a nothing move.

If he had any ****ing balls he’d give Ngumoha 30 mins.

                    Urgh.

What a waste of an evening.

Slot seems more concerned about getting the players he wants on the pitch than things like shape or strategy. It seems quite amateurish tbh.

Liverpool had just one shot on target attacking the Kop in the second half and that was Szoboszlai's effort from outside the box.

Serious lack of urgency and energy in the team to try and win the game.

I think it's a fitness thing I don't think Frimpong could play the full 90, surprised that Ekitike did as well to be honest, I mentioned this in another thread I think there are too many players who can only play a max of 60-80mins and I think we saw that today some of them came off, but I think at least a couple played longer than we would have liked due to like of quality options and having made changes elsewhere.

True, and we have another 8 games this month. But we look down to the bare bones.

We are putting crosses in but don't have players to get on the end of them, moves break down and we are relying on long range low probability chances. That seems to be how we play now no patterns of play hope for an opposition mistake or a moment of brilliance

This month will be brutal, squad isn't big enough and lacks strength in depth
