Qarabag at home Wednesday 28th January at 8pm

I don’t want to dwell on last nights loss . Hope Ibou is back in time for this as we broke Joe again asking him to play twice in a week. First two names on the team list will be Salah & Gakpo just because Qarabag will fancy there chances if they saw last nights performance & see those two names on the starting list.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

We are going to smash them.

Drop Gakpo, Drop Salah, drop MacAllister.

Get Jones, Ekitike and Chiesa (if fit) into the team

Not Chiesa - Rio. He was great again tonight when he came on. Deserves minutes.
        Modifying post.

Yeah Rio could start his one for sure. He’s something different and full of energy.

Frimpong and Rio on either side causing problems.

Jones back in, don’t now why he didn’t start ahead of Mac Allister after not playing in midweek. Worrying thing is the lack of a new contract for Jones.

Sorry cannot understand what you are saying. Try again, but like a Scot.

I just remembered James McConnell is back from his loan spell at Ajax. No mention of any moves away again. He’s always done well when had a chance and is one of the young players Slot seemed like last season. He could be a useful option at the moment.

I don’t know if he’s available for champions league games.

Did he play for the 21’s today?

Fairly sure there was something about him picking up an 'untimely injury' about the time he returned, I remember reading that was why he wouldn't be involved in the Barnsley game a couple of weeks ago. Not idea what the injury was or how long he would be out for.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If our goal difference was better then just a draw would be sufficient for top 8. Unfortunately a draw now will likely mean enough teams will overtake us. I feel if we go to the knock out round then we will be the ones getting knocked out.

Just noticed that they drew 2-2 with Chelsea along with beating Benfica and Frankfurt.

Napoli beat them 2-0. Atletic Bilboa beat them 3-1 and Ajax beat them 4-2.

We should beat them, but catches the eye that nobody has beaten them by more than two goals.

Looking at their match results in the CL it seems they score almost as easily as they give up goals and we certainly have the attacking players to do damage.
