Ibou is a class act. Great interview.

I hope we get that contract renewal from him.

Forget the first 30 minutes that was great football. Loved to see them attack and play with real tempo. I know Newcastle came and played, which was a nice change, but they took full advantage and when they looked so good.

Wirtz and Ekitike continuing their growing partnership. They are so much fun to watch.

Konate with a big performance under difficult circumstances.

Gravenberch was also very good playing in a more attacking role.

Yeh - the disappointments were Gakpo and Salah. Both have their moments, but I was glad to see one of them subbed at least. We just can't play with those two as wingers.
        Really?

2 players who are a good barometer of if they are playing well we are probably playing well are Konate and Gravenberch. Both were excellent.

Loved that aside from the first half hour. When we move it quickly we're brilliant, mainly due to Hugo and Wirtz who are both ****in world class.

I thought Kerkez did well too. Elanga is a pacey tricky opponent & he did well.

The boys rocking up in their Tommy Hillfiger gear. Except for Chiesa who has turned up as a substitute teacher.

Salah looks like the crazy maths professor, macallister looks like the drop out student who has a spliff hidden in his sock.

Anyway, how did the two kids enjoy the match...

There has definitely been a big improvement at both ends. Haven’t we also scored 2 or 3 since then and look more solid defensively.

That was a great game to be at! We were really on the back foot in terms of territory in that first 30 mins, but that first goal changed the game, as it generally does.

The tempo was so much better after that and we created a lot of really lovely moves

Wirtz looks even better in the flesh while Ekitike is Torres MK 2

Was it just me or was that ref refusing to give us anything in that first 30 mins?

Oh and the Kop were great tonight! All the energy and songs came from them until the last 15 mins, when the result was in the bag

Did the kids enjoy it after a long day of boredom/anticipation
