Watching that disallowed goal so many times, still dont get why its not a goal. His arm was right against his side. Wasnt sticking out or whatever. Plus at the speed of the ball and the ****house camera, I cant tell if its hits his back or back and arm at the same time. If it was purely elbow the ball would have come back downwards not up.

Exactly - same with Frimpong on the right and playing forward. As soon as we have players who can go around the back and get a cross in, we look so much more dangerous. Playing two wide players who both want to occupy Ekitike's space is daft.Originally posted by baitman View Post
Did Mo do a thing that rio couldn't do... no
Did rio offer more than Mo... yes.
Easy decision then.
Also, play the right footed with ger on the right, ffs! This inverted ****e is OVER
Begs the question of how we would fit Gakpo, Ekitike, Salah and Isak into the same team. The answer is easy - we don't. Salah and Gakpo are yesterday's solutions to yesterday's problems.Really?

Apparently it doesn't matter if it's deliberate or not, you can't score with your arm...Originally posted by vlahka View PostWatching that disallowed goal so many times, still dont get why its not a goal. We desperately need pace and dribbling in the first 11. Glaring weakness!Originally posted by peterbread View Post
Or give him more minutes at least. Did what Mo couldn’t today. Interesting to see him playing more down the right recently. Old school classic winger going on the outside snd getting in a great cross Hugo should have finished.

Yeah, as the rules go, it was correctly ruled out, it definitely hit the back of his arm.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostApparently it doesn't matter if it's deliberate or not, you can't score with your arm...
Anyway, Konate was MoM for me. He was actually one of more ambitious attacking players and moved the ball through midfield better than the midfielders.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Konate is so annoying though, with his physical assault man marking and clumsiness. But yes, he was the most consistent player out there today.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostYeah, as the rules go, it was correctly ruled out.

And it was such a perfect cross. He didn’t just put it in hoping to find someone he delicately dinked it to the far post. Great play.Originally posted by baitman View Post

More Rio and give Morrison and Kone-Doherty some minutes. Real pace and attacking wingers.

After a tepid first half performance from us, we were a lot better second half, took the sting out of the play, cut out the stray passes, and made 2 or 3 good chances.
For all their huff and puff, there was no miracles needed by Ali in goal, but we made their keeper work. So, all in all, a fair result but still work to do.
