He’s a great option when he’s fit due to his versatility but it’s beyond a joke now with endless niggles.

Does poor Joe just have a lower pain threshold? Are these the sort of injuries that a lot of players might play through, but some players get stopped in their tracks by? Kinda like Sturridge used to miss so many games for us?

Think some players bodies just keep breaking down on them, just as some players just rarely ever get injured throughout their career. You could argue that some players are just mentally stronger than others but a lot of the time it's just bad luck imo. It's a shame for it got farcical a long, long time ago and we just have kept hold on him.

So just need to give Real a hiding in the semi and then thrash the Arse in the final.

Don’t think so, he’s had too many serious/long term injuries for it to be in his head

Yeah but when have an amazing ability to play **** against anyone, Spurs were there for the taking and we couldn't beat them at home. No matter how bad their record they come here confident of getting a result

Apart from RB this is arguably the strongest 11 we have.

If we fail tonight then serious questions need to be asked about the long tetm vision and tactics

Presumably Frimpong RB, Szoboszlai in midfield and Wirtz in the front line?

Wirtz in off the left with the width coming from Kerkez. This should be the ideal situation for both to see them at their best.

Szoboszlai in the middle leading the press Mo can drift in get more central and be more of a goal threat and not have to provide the width and try and beat defenders as Frimpong will do that.

You’d hope this should suit the players much more if they play with some pace and move the ball quicker they can put in a much better performance.

I hope that’s how it plays out but who knows how they’ll actually be setup.

We need to make a quick start and get the crowd behind us, but we never do that under Slot
