Anderson would bring the sort of physicality, mobilty and aggression that Wharton seems to lack, whilst at the same time being good on the ball.
Fernades at West Ham would be another that would improve us in the middle imo.
Do think if we got Wharton that we would continue to have a lot of the same issues through the centre that we have had this season.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Anderson will cost stupid money now but Fernandes looks a very interesting prospect, he’s been strongly linked to PSG and has Vitinha/Neves vibesOriginally posted by Doc_Piptorious View Post

Wharton would most likely cost stupid money as well.
Fernandes looks quite the player though. Good passer, mobile, aggressive and really good defensively. Only turns 22 in the summer and will have two seasons of PL experience by then too. Brings the on ball qualities that Wharton has but also brings the physical and defensive qualities that Wharton imo does not have to a high level.
Quite like the way Fernandes has the confidence to go with his ability and will look to be the one trying to drag the team along with him and looks like the sort of player that tries to leave everything on the pitch each game.
Think he is one that potentially might be a top tier player in the making. No surprise to see PSG looking at him as Enrique has a very good eye for quality but hard working midfielders and attackers. Speaking of the latter type, I see Morgan Rogers has been strongly linked to a summer move to PSG as well. Would imagine Enrique sees Rogers as a physical mobile back up to some of his current LMs and CMs, but could also be that PSG are expecting a departure of two.I don't hate people. I do like how Wharton is good at receiving the ball in tight spaces and still find a pass to release others. He’s quite press-resistant through talent on the ball. But his lack of pace would be a problem for us. I can’t think of a single elite central midfielder who didn’t have at least enough pace to keep up with play. Wharton is hugely talented and might really kick-on but he’ll never be a Pirlo where he’s so good you make sure you accommodate him somehow.Originally posted by Doc_Piptorious View Post

I like him, but I’ve also been impressed by Spence when I’ve seen him i.e. against us.Originally posted by rudedog View PostWhat about Archie Gray? There was loads of hype around this lad before he went to Spurs - he’s probably been one of their better players this season but if they do get relegated, we might be able to get him for a decent price.Never knowingly optimistic

Yeah I like him a lot. Very versatile as well. It's remarkable how good he is for 20.Originally posted by rudedog View PostWhat about Archie Gray? £60m could be a snip in a few years but I reckon Spurs stay up and desperately cling on to him.

Terrible idea to let him leave.
David Lynch - Contract talks with Curtis Jones are understood to have effectively ceased, and it is known that he was open to a January move to Inter Milan before [LFC] shut the door. The Reds would bank pure profit on the midfielder under the Premier League’s new squad cost ratio rule.
