the fans were magnificent and deserve a lot of credit.

zenden played probably his best game ever for liverpool, deserves an honorable mention.

carra and agger locked down the defence, and deserve credit for marshalling the back four and nullifying the chelsea attack.

mascherano was a monster in midfield, we're so lucky to have him in our squad.

but my MOTM is pepe. not just for the penalties, but he made some great saves throughout the game to keep us in it.

Reina, Masher, Pennant and also Stevie G definitely freaked the **** out of them a lot of the time. Didnt do the flashy 40 yard screamer, but he scared the ****ing **** outta them tonight too.

I know he's not a player, but my MOM HAS TO BE Rafa.

Seriously, not one of us would have fielded that lineup, yet it was tactically the one that did the job. The man is a chess master on the pitch, creating insanely high workrates and making stronger people play positions that others would look at as a role player's, not a star's.

Yes, Agger scored a well placed screamer, but it was off of a dead ball situation that Rafa drew up in training.

Yes, Pepe had a blinder in regular time and saved 66% of their PK's, but it was Rafa that brought him here to be in that position.

Yes Masher was god like today, but again, rafa wanted him and gave him a run just in time for our CL run.

99% of us slated Bolo and we all know the people that said if he plays they won't even watch, let alone do we have a chance to win.(the other 1%, like me, just decided not to post it) Rafa put him out there to run them wide and open it up for us in the midfield knowing they would be playing a 4-3-3.

And for Christ sakes.... He was sitting on the actual pitch with his legs crossed during the shootout.

Although, I'm still scratching my head as to who turned up in his place at West Ham's training sessions. It couldn't have been him.

Thought there was loads of WHU players saying what a quality player he was.

WHU didn't play him cos of the money aspect.

He's our best midfield player at the moment was everywhere its like he teleports into positions.

MotM who do pick out of Riena, Carra, Masser, Zenden.

Carra - only time Drogba managed to get the better was when he had cramp.
Riena - his penalty ability is worth Finals, winners medals
Zenden - for me always gives his best. Could he be the Smicer of the final.
Masser - 3rd name on the sheet after Riena and Carra.
