    Bellamy Defoe Swap?

Tottenham are pondering a swap deal with Liverpool which would see Jermain Defoe and Craig Bellamy switch clubs. (Daily Mirror).

    Like for like?

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

I would've preferred we signed Defoe earlier when we signed Bellamy.

I know a lot of people here don't rate him, but i think he's a great little player with a lot of potential.

It's a tough one but I'd stick with Bellamy. I know he hasn't really used it yet but he is the only player we have with real pace. If we sign Defoe as a replacement then we may become the slowest team in world football.

It does seem a bit soon
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

I guess they both have similar levels of ability but Defoe is slower and Bellamy needs more games to build up form. I guess that latter skill is the key for us as we will have Crouch and Kuyt who have been effective when in the team which will limit the number of chances for either of them until they prove themselves.

I dunno Defoe is a good player but yet again so is Bellamy will we gain anything by agreeing to this deal...Defoe isn't as quick as Bellamy but seems more of a goalscorer...Give Bellamy more time to settle and see how he does.

I would swap them Defoe is a better goalscorer.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Neither of them have particularly glowing C.V.'s in that department.

neither of them, If we're getting rid of Bellamy so soon it would have to be for someone better than Defoe.

                          No thank you, Defoe's a lazy, arrogant wee ****e and Bellamy's a
better all round player with a better will to win.
                          Bellers wil come good.

the brutal truth is that neither are good enough for us realistically, but of the 2 i'd stick with bellers

Defoe is deffinately a more natural goal scorer than Bellamy.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
