That'll be the message in private to the players at Melwood tomorrow. Hopefully Rafa sends Pennant round to the shops for milk and teabags. Might as well get something in return for £7m quid.
Exactly. I would hate Rafa to come out publicly and say we where ****e. That's really gonna help us improve. Didn't see the match so can't comment on the performance.

    Very disappointed

I don't know what your problem is but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce

I watched it on the Tvants stream.

Trust me, the performance was as bad as many of us are making it out to be.

the problem is apart from bellamy that was probably the best 11 rafa could of put out last night and that is very worrying

              Couldn't agree more.

Couldn't agree more. Under Rafa the amount of huff and puff we have to do just to score one poxy goal is simply unbelievable. Tactically we are not set up to exploit the strengths of our strikers - whatever they may be. Look at Morientes, he looked rubbish for us but he's banging them in abroad again. Even Pongo is nicking a few. Kuyt I beleive is not being used in the best way to maximise his return.

For one, we're searingly negative. We pop the ball about idly in front of the opposition and such is the lack of a dribbler in the side that we always turn backwards with the ball when confronted by a defender or hoof it skywards. There's just no serious forward momentum in the side, we play like stilted robots, possession is king. That's why well organised teams like Pompey or others who want to sit deep will ALWAYS have a great chance of nicking a point at Anfield.

It's also why, when we go 1-0 down, you just know we ain't coming back to win it, and increasingly, securing 1-1 is looking remote too. The way we play is like russian roulette, always gambling on not going 1-0 down because once we do we're shagged.

There's just no verve, no fizz, no panache...where's the spontaneity and off the cuff unpredictability in our play that enticed us all to support Liverpool in the first place? IMO, Rafa's cold and scientific approach has coached it out of the players and it ain't coming back unless he changes his spots quick sharp...

It all smacks of the tortuous final days of GH's reign, it really does.

Excellent summary - not just of last night but of the season so far.

I think this is going to be a busy thread tonight/tomorrow!

We failed to take advantage of results which our way tonight, and hence we go back to the RW Rafa bought in the summer, on reflection, that position with someone more decent could have made all the difference this season.
I'm sorry but you lost me when I saw "wash up" in the thread title. What next - blue sky thinking? Getting our ducks in a row?
