Oddly of late I have come to the conclusion of late that two parts of Cisse's game are ideal for him to play on the right of our formation. 1/ Pace. 2/He gets into the box. I think in particular the latter has been missed in his absence.
I still wouldn't necissarily welcome him back though."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

He is a better player than Pennant and Bellamy but that still doesn't make him good enough to play for us.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Cisse's not here anymore. He's not coming back either, so please let's forget him. Pennant's the one wearing a red shirt now, he deserves our support (a boost and not our boos as someone said earlier today). And besides, I thot it was Bellamy who replaced Cisse and not Pennant. Was cos Cisse wasn't impressing Rafa upfront he went right. I say we wait till May before we make any comments about Bellamy and Pennant, we can't trade either of them before then anyway.Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostRevisionism. Cisse did not take on players, he kicked the ball past them and then ran really really fast. Usually the ball had gone in to touch by the time he got there though.
He did run fast a really lot though, usually 'cos his first touch was so bad that the ball bounced off of him.
Pennant is no superstar but at least he does:
Track back
Put in a decent cross.
Has a nice pass on him.
And he doesn't:
Upset team morale by screaming and scowling at everyone.
Stand around looking pissed off and not pariticpating in the game due to some percieved wrong.
True that man!!!
Cisse's time has come and gone. Move on. For a change try and think of something to do to help JP rather than drag him down. If the fans (those on the boards as well) get on his back then it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Mate, Pennant has 9 goals in his entire professional career. NINE.
Cisse scored 19 in all comps last season. Most of them from right wing.
I dont think Cisse's upto much personally, but if it's a choice of him or Pennant, i'd happily drive Pennant back to Brum myself and meet Djibs at the airport when he returns.

Whenever I think of Cisse I find it hard to get the FA Cup final out of my head. In particular those boots. Odd-coloured ones in the first half and high-visibility ones in the second. Embarrassing.
Then I think of that sitter he missed against Man United.
And he hated being played on the wing - and he made sure everybody knew about it.
£14million he cost.
We've moved on now. Or at least most of us have.

We can only judge how good Bellamy is to LFC at the end of the season. As much as I wanted Cisse to stay, Rafa could not find a way of fitting him into the system he wants to play.
I watched Cisse for 3 years at Auxerre before he joined us and he did very well in a 4-5-1 system where he was the focal point of the attacks.
Rafa prefers the old & trusted 4-4-2 so Cisse did not fit in it. End of.
I'd love to see him back but sadly it's not going to happen.18-5-7-8-3

another poor post today on est1892, no offence like but who cares what boot colour he wears. Also, you seem to have selective memory son. Mention 1 bad miss but forgot to mention all the goals he scored.Originally posted by Insider View PostWhenever I think of Cisse I find it hard to get the FA Cup final out of my head. The boots mention is important - like Bruno Cheyro proved, bad boots can emphasise bad players.Originally posted by REDSCOUSER View Postanother poor post today on est1892, no offence like but who cares what boot colour he wears. My favourite Cisse moment was in a European tie, can't remember which one, and he was brought down near the main stand. He turned to the stand, still sat on the floor, and urged them to get behind the team.
He did score some good goals too, but wasn't prepared to do as he was asked - or so it seemed. He didn't pick his transfer fee I know, but what was GH thinking to pay so much?
The main point though is that he's not wanted by Rafa, he's on loan and unless I'm mistaken he can't come back now, unless his injury doesn't clear up quickly enough for the terms of the loan+transfer deal.
People asking for us to bring him back? Ridiculous really.
I had as many reasons to dislike him as I had reasons to like him probably. But I wish him well in France.

It's not difficult to see the he ain't coming back. If it was not for his injury Rafa would have had an extra 8£ m to use but anyways. Good luck to Djibs, I'm sure he's gonna be a hit back in France.18-5-7-8-3
