    what a waste of cash!

    Is Pennant the biggest waste of money,ever?

    I mean,there has been Diouf and diao,cheyrou and diomede.Even,some would say Heskey and Kewell(of which i would disagree with).

    I personally think pennant is a really bad buy.Not his fault mind you,but,FFS,our weakness is and has been for the last few years our right side.

    We used Gerrard there last season,because we didn't have anyone else half as good to play there.I personally want to see Gerrard in the middle of the park,there isn't anyone in world football better than him.

    Our left side,is really quite strong.but on the right?

    Finnan is a reallly good,consistent player but a full back needs to chip in with a few goals a season imo.

    Riise on the other side,i wouldn't swap him for anyone.I really like the lad and think that every season he just gets better and better.Defensively this season he has been superb.

    Getting back to the original point,Pennant was signed as the answer to our problem on the right,someone that would make chances for others and score a few goals aswell,just like C Ronaldo, Robben,J Cole and Van Persie do for their respective teams.

    Imo,he hasn't delivered.Very bad buy.Money is a bit tight,but i would rather of spent the money on a world class right sided player,rather than on Kuyt.

    Don't get me wrong,because i really like Kuyt.But with the money we spent on him and pennant,a world class right winger could of been signed,which i feel, was our 1st priority.

    The same thing happened with Houllier after the 01-02 season when we finished 2nd,and all we needed was a left sided winger and a striker to really push us on and challenge for the title the next year. Cheyrou and Diouf were signed as the players that would take us forward and Anelka was released.Imo,Anelka would of become a great player for us.

    I think we have gone backwards big time, and also feel that if we don't manage to sign a decent right winger in january,were gonna have to win the champions league again to qualify for it again next year!

        No it doesn't it's yet another Pennant bashing thread. Whilst I and other don't rate him it's getting really tiresome and tedious now. Whatever way yo look at it this is a Pennant bashing thread.

            Well let me tell you the. We are all sick sore and tired of Pennants threads.

            There are people on here who were actaully delighted when he got injured. There are some who want to give him a bit more time. There are others ( Probably like yourself) who call him unacceptable names. There are some who feel he should be booed during games and others who think thats out of order.

            That about sums it up and we've all had enough of it now.

              It's really not needed today. We won 4-0 and that is all that matters. Pennant should now be left to sort his game out...much the same as Reina. He was crap early season and now it looks like he is the best keeper on the planet.

                he's still a liverpool player ffs, we need to stick by our players and stop giving them jip, it is ridiculous i think that a liverpool player is getting stick from us his own so called 'supporters'

                  Whats with you all?This is the same kind of response that used to be dished out on koptalk.Quick to snap at a new thread and shoot someone down who has a opinion about something.You know what,koptalk is proberbly a better place now without half of you on there.

                  Evryone of you give players stick,and no,i did not boo pennant the other night and would never stoop so low.And because i havn't been around on the forums for while,i get all this bollox about" it's been done to death" and "were sick of it!"

                    The thing is we've crucified him all week...in fact all season and after a 4-0 win maybe it isn't the right time to stick the boot in again. Frankly I don't think he'll make it and Rafa will probably buy a new RW in the summer.

                        I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

                            On a serious note, why the **** are people slagging him over every minute thing he does. I understand people don't like him (as a person) so they just want to slag him off all the time.

                              Always respect your opinion.Maybe timing is wrong after our best away result of the season, but it was more a post on how i see where we are going wrong.
