Pongolle is like Garcia. Not Consistent, but has the ability to do something Special when really needed

I would prefer he didnt go, but I dont think he would be prepared to play as backup or Super Sub.

Saying he's not Good enough is wrong. You cant compare him with ALT. ALT was a good Youth player, because he was Bigger than his Age. Once he started playing people his own size, he didnt have the skill to match.

Pongolle has the skill. He'll do well where ever he goes. He's a clever player with more than enough skill

Never really rated him myself. He wasnt like a litmanen who CLEARLY didnt get a proper chance at LFC... pongolle had plenty chances to show his mettle and for the most part, did not deliver. I dont think rafa would have him back TBH - perhaps pngolle already knows that and such is the motivation for his comments.

Still his attitude was always decent and for that alone good luck to the lad

I thought Litmanen got a chance, but the most important factor in Litmanen not working out at LFC was the style of football we were playing, it was so defensive, it clearly didnt suit a player with the style of Jari.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Another gem for the boot. I never really thought they would live up to the hype. I mean if there were french kids who were THAT good, Wenger would have signed them.

And I think I'm right, Tony. And it would seem that Rafa agrees with me and not you...

I think Wenger took Le Tallec on trial, but he opted for us over Arsenal. I actually think talent wise both are on par. Pongolle is fast and skillfull, but Le Tallec is stronger, more intelligent, and has incredible vision.

                    Not surprised he wants out.

                    Can't really blame him.

His chances are always going to be limited at Liverpool.

                    Good luck Sinama

Why do you think that mate, seeing as he's got 5 so far in practically half the season?

I always liked Pongy but I never thought he looked like he'd be top class, or a consistent goalscorer. He was like a slightly slower Cisse, just with better touch and a less direct eye for goal.

Decent little player, I think he'll do well at a slightly smaller club, whether here or abroad. Ultimately never goimg to be able to hold down a first team place at Anfield though, so good luck to him.

Just a feeling, he wasn't playing an awful lot in the first 2 months of the season, so it's not very reflective of what he can do given a run of starts. He only needs 10 more goals to prove my feeling right.

We have Gonzalez, Pennant, Kewell and Garcia all players that never give 100%. FSP and Cisse are the same but they got the push first.
Did you see the size off those chickens?

Well Gonzalez and Pennant haven't been here long enough for you to seriously make that judgement, Kewell when not injured does tries and Garcia doesn't give up when injured. FSP and Cisse are gone because they simpley weren't good enough. Your comments abouthe other 4 are rather ill founded.

So you think Gonzalez and Pennant have what it takes, on what showing? Kewell is an embarassment of a footballer, don't see many other footballers going to Australia to recoup. Garcia- I am not going there.
