New Striker Is A Must

It has been the introduction of two new wingers that has cost us in alot of our build up play IMO, both did not settle as we would have liked. We also miss Harry Kewell.

2 wingers & 2 strikers is more to the point, a whole new front 4, none of them knowing where the other will be or is expected to be, not knowing the movement where you can just plank a ball just knowing X will be there to receive it.

we also miss the fowler of old. we've never had a "really good" harry kewell. he had a patch of 2 or 3 months where he was good, not brilliant. to suggest his return would make any difference is serious straw grasping. i have to admire your blind optimism though.

It was Fowler's link up play against PSV which made me realise that he's never going to be ahead of Bellamy, Crouch and Kuyt in the pecking order and will probably make way for a new striker in the summer.

if you're basing your opinion on the man's future based on one game, i could present a case for ditching the whole squad! his vision and passing is much much better than people give him credit for. his definitely not a head down bellamy/cisse type player.

I totally disagree with the conclusion you reached based on the statistics. This is quite tiresome actually, so **** it. Fowler is the best striker we have - Rafa should play him regularly, and the moon is made of melaena.

No I'm not basing my opinion on one game, I've been watching him closely all season because I wanted him to succeed. He's still got great vision but physically, he's just not the same player.

You're well off the mark classing Bellamy as the same type of player as Cisse. Bellamy is a team player - Cisse isn't.
