Villa ain't going nowhere, their president just told last week that any club (read Chelsea at the time) who wanted him would have to match his 100M£ buy-out clause.

It is exactly the figure all the other tabloids seem to be going with. No one except DIC and possibly the Liverpool board know what the plans are for transfers so I'm reading all the press reports with a healthy level of cynicism.Originally posted by JCase View PostTribal Football are utter tripe. 100m for a transfer kitty? WTF? I don't believe that Rafa would get that much dosh for new players. With this take over prices of all our targets will be over inflated by selling clubs."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I don't know why they would just release a big wedge of funds for transfer purposes. Surely each case would be considered on its own merits and then, if it was viable and beneficial to the club, the bid would be sanctioned by the board.Originally posted by dww View PostIt is exactly the figure all the other tabloids seem to be going with. I think that anyone coming in will know that to be at the very top level of the sport we need to buy probably 4 players and will have factored this into their plans. However I think you are right they probably won't have a block of money allocated as such, but will consider buying in players on an individual basis."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Bellemy wont be soldOriginally posted by Howard_lfc View PostI posted a couple of weeks ago that I'd heard we were after SWP and Alves again. It was just something that was passed on to me from my bro - not from an official source or anything.
Just to complete what I'd heard - Bellamy off to Villa and Crouch off to Spurs or Newcastle (!). Oh and Sami to Sunderland.
This isn't gospel ok - before I get slated. Just passing on info I'd heard. When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........

There should be at least another 20m per year available for transfers on top of whatever is already budgeted because we will not have to pay interest on a loan to build the new stadium - as it will paid for in cash. It's my job to handle life and death situations on a daily basis. It's what I do, and I'm very good at it.

Armed with the new money from Sheikh Mohammed, Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez won't have to think twice when going for his top targets in the transfer market.
Benitez could now find himself with a transfer kitty of up to £100m as part of the £450m takeover deal.
The Kop boss, preparing for tonight's Champions League clash with Galatasaray, said: "I have talked to our chairman David Moores and chief executive Rick Parry about this and I was pleased with what I heard.
"It is always good for a club to have more money and more possibilities."
Shaun Wright-Phillips, out in the cold at Chelsea, is a huge favourite of Benitez.
Seville full-back Daniel Alves could be another target while there may be a move for Spanish hitman David Villa, who played for Benitez at Valencia.
