valencia also happens to be a state or a Province in spain..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

I don't think Reina is sure yet if he will stay or not...chances are that if he does sign an extension, it will be not be until the Summer, and only for a 2 year extension.
It'll be interesting to watch the goings on at Valencia with regards to their manager...Carboni and Quique do not get on, and apparently Lippi is waiting in the wings. If Lippi takes over from Quique (which probably won't happen until they're knocked out of the CL), he could bring Buffon with him.Originally posted by lfc4ever View Posthttp://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drill...61218-1408.htm
Pepe Reina has dismissed rumours claiming he is unsettled at Anfield and insisted he couldn't be happier than playing for Liverpool.
The Spanish international kept another clean sheet during the 3-0 victory at Charlton and said he just wants to concentrate on helping Liverpool try to close the gap at the top of the table.
"As the manager keeps saying, we don't know where these stories keep beginning," insisted Reina.
"I'm really happy here at Liverpool. It's a big club and I have a good relationship with all the people. I have two and a half years left of my contract, so I'm in no hurry.
"I don't know if now is the right time to be talking about a contract because I like to focus just on the games. There will be plenty of time to do this.
"I'm not homesick. Obviously there are things in Spain we all miss because our family and friends are all back there, but that's normal. There are things which are not the same, but that's what you expect as a footballer.
"I have a very happy life here with my wife and a daughter which is on the way, so there's no problem for me here.
"I'm happy with another clean sheet, but even happier with the victory on Saturday. We have some momentum away from home now.
"The beginning of the season wasn't the best for us, but we always said it would improve. The schedule wasn't easy for us. It seemed we had to go to all the most difficult stadiums first. But now we're playing more away games where we know the chances of winning for us are much better."
Reina: I'm in no rush to exit Anfield

PEPE REINA today eased fears about of homesickness may prompt an early return to Spain at the end of the season.
The Spanish keeper is consistently being linked with a summer move to Valencia - much to the annoyance of manager Rafa Benitez who's determined to keep his number one.
Negotiations over a new contract are planned in the New Year, and although Reina insists he's in 'no hurry' to thrash out fresh terms, he's dismissed rumours he's unsettled on Merseyside.
"As the manager keeps saying, we don't know where these stories keep begin-ning," said Reina.
"I'm really happy here at Liverpool. It's a big club and I have a good relationship with all the people. I have two and a half years left of my contract, so I'm in no hurry.

Reina's form certainly isn't being affected by the speculation, as he helped Liverpool to another clean sheet at the weekend.
That's the club's tenth in their last 12 games.
"I'm happy with another clean sheet, but even happier with the victory," said Reina.
"We have some momentum away from home now.

Liverpool returned to training yesterday, but were given the day off ahead of tomorrow's League Cup quarter-final with Arsenal.
The competition is often considered low on the priority list, but with such illustrious opponents heading to Merseyside, both Benitez and Arsene Wenger are expected to field strong sides at Anfield.
Reina is in no doubt of the significance of the fixture.
"It's Arsenal and it's a cup game, so of course it's important," he said.

Germany international goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand is to move to Spanish giants Valencia at the end of the season, according to German media reports.
The 27-year-old has failed to sign a new contract with Stuttgart, and looks set to leave the Gottlieb Daimler Stadion at the end of the season.
Local radio station Südwestrundfunks (SWR) reported on Wednesday that Hildebrand has already signed a three year contract with the Spanish giants, beginning in July 2007.
Hildebrand stated publicly on Wednesday, the day after contract talks with Stuttgart were revealed to have stalled, that he would not be put under pressure to sign by his club, and would not allow the club to impose deadlines on him.
It's my job to handle life and death situations on a daily basis. It's what I do, and I'm very good at it.

José Ochotorena watched Amelia play for Livorno.
This doesn't mean we'll sign him, or that Pepe will leave but there is definitely substance to this rumour.Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it

I think Carson will leave if we don`t get investment.
I base this speculation solely on that fact that we could sell him for a lot of £, and get a decent back-up for Reina much cheaper. This would generate cash for Rafa to use on some of his targeted players.
If Reina leave, and we don`t get investment the Carson will probably stay, as he is actually quite good.Blank
