I almost choked as well when I saw MacDonald's name. Maybe it was just the moustache that made him look soft, but I never had him down as a hardman. I agree that he was a reasonable player.Originally posted by Los Rojos View PostNah. MacDonald was harder than he was given any credit for. He wasn't as bad a player as you suggest either. Just my opinion though
Souness is probably the hardest player I've seen, though McMahon runs him close.I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

I'm willing to accept Byrne too, but can't quite remember that far back.
Id go along with this.
Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

Ah that brings back memories - he was my hero when I was young. He signed his autograph for me and wrote on my thumb - refused to wash it for days. I even wrote to him and got a signed photo backOriginally posted by puredale View PostJimmy Case (oldies will know who I mean)
Case was brought up on a tough Liverpool housing estate close to the docks. He graduated through the schools teams and then joined a tough dockers' side, Blue Union. The physical nature of these early games would have an impact on the rest of his football career.
