Nah. MacDonald was harder than he was given any credit for. He wasn't as bad a player as you suggest either. Just my opinion though

I almost choked as well when I saw MacDonald's name. Maybe it was just the moustache that made him look soft, but I never had him down as a hardman. I agree that he was a reasonable player.
Souness is probably the hardest player I've seen, though McMahon runs him close.
