Firstly the Sheik doesn't have much to do with this deal. DIC are the ones who will run the company if they take over not the Sheik. His family is the 100% shareholder in DIC but he doesn't run DIC. The Board run the company.

They are an investment company, they exist to make a profit and you don't do that by throwing £200m down the swanny.

Taken from their website under the investment strategy section "With a preference for Leveraged Buy Outs in Europe and North America , DIC focuses on opportunities where it can add value to the deal, and subsequently, the business."

For those not familiar with business double speak a "Leveraged Buy Out" is one that involves a mixture of equity (their money) and debt.

It was never mentioned about refinancing the debts, because they're probably isn't a need to, provided we're currently meeting our debt repayments. The club will continue to pay it's debts as they fall due.
    And you call me naive
The Sheik owns DIC, if he wants something to happen do you really think the board would say "no"? If he didn't want the board to go ahead with a deal do you really think they'd just do it anyway.
If he wants he can disband the board at an instant, the board won't do anything without his approval, if you can't see that then you are naive.

Despite all your aggressive talk and all your quotes you have not provided ANY evidence that "the writing in black is spot on". You know nothing about the deal, Morgan knows nothing about the deal and the until you come to terms with this truth it's pointless even listening to you. Goodbye

There's not really a whole lot of specifics that aren't available from information already available. The price per share is the only thing that he may not be privy to.

He knows how many shares are for sale, it's all contained in the company accounts.

He knows that for every penny put into a club there must be a corresponding liability in the balance sheet either to a shareholder or a creditor. If we've sold all the shares it's possible for the company to sell in this deal (which is what is happening) the £150m is all that DIC will pay (according to his figures). At the rumoured £6k price that Moores was asking for it would be £191m. At the £4k price DIC were willing to pay at the beginning it would have been in the region of £120m. Morgan's figure of £150m lies somewhere in the middle, which is not really unusual since both parties will give a little in negotiations.

A portion of the £150m will go to Moores for his shares (that portion depends on how much he sells, he owns 17,923 shares), the rest will go to the club ( because of the as yet unissued shares in the company).

Another point to note is that if we've sold all the shares in the company the easiest way to raise money is through debt. Otherwise the share capital structure of the company needs to be altered.

I know, what is clear to me is that Morgan is pissed off because he hasn't bought the club so he's doing his best to sabotage this deal by trying, once again, to get the fans on his side. What a pillock.
He's the only person who has anything bad to say about this deal. He's like a spoilt child.

Everyone laughed at him when he said the debts of the club were £80m.

              He was right.

I'm 100% confident the deal will pan out as he says. It makes perfect financial sense.

There are some things being mentioned in past reports which simply aren't possible within the constraints of company law.

"My bid was pre-Istanbul, pre-Rafa Benitez settling into the club and pre-the Sky TV deal," Morgan said in an interview. "If I'd had a crystal ball and seen all these things in advance then maybe I should have done the deal at the time. Hindsight is a wonderful thing."

This is the only thing in the artical I reacted too. Typical Morgan bollocks, like he was in driving seat during his failed attempt to buy the club cheap. The man is a ****ing tool!!!

No I'm not him mate. As for being his dad, I'm 24 so i doubt it.

I was lucky enough to study financial management (in relation to mergers and acquisitions) under a former Harvard professer during my degree.
