God damn you Fredo, you've used that word again, I guess as it's Christmas i'll have to casually look over this matter and hold myself back from sending "the boys" round

I'd rate Finnan in the same bracket as Neville mate but i'd put neither in the "terrific" brackett. There's certainly a shortage of good right backs in this country.

    Merry Christmas anyway mate

Gary Neville is a **** and i agree with you matey. As the song says :

    Gary Neville shags his ma
    shags his ma
    shags his ma
    Gary Neville shags his ma
    UP THE ****TER
And a funny little clip when both these girlies (Gary and Phil) are running scared of thunder.

Riise cant defend to save his life and in terms of that lack of quality he is on par with Aurelio. However Aurelio has the benefit of being better at going forward.

Aurelio for me at this stage.

I think Fabio is a lot better than he has showed so far. Time will tell. But against a physical team like Blackburn I'd stick w/JAR.

I'm not Risse's biggest fan but he's far better defensively than Aurelio. JAR has been part of our very solid defence since Rafa came. Aurelio is a liability defensively, JAR is very solid. JAR's weakness is his distribution but ultimately defenders must be able to defend & JAR is far the better of the 2.

I'd like to see more of Aurelio but as a LM rather than LB. I think Warnock and Riise should be battling for the defensive slot, and have Aurelio compete with Gonzalez for LM. On current form I'd stick with Gonzalez LM (yes even after today), and give Warnock a try at LB. I think Riise's brilliant but he's slipped into a comfort zone recently.

Aurelio is waste of fukcing space, that's what you get for a bosman. An injury prone, light weight player from Spain.
Sorry lads but I'm feeling really down after todays defeat.

The only thing he's terrific at is shagging his mum and the rest of his scummy, inbred mancuunian (sorry should that be bury) family.

He's at best an average right back like every other fullback in the country with the exception being maybe Ashley Cole on the left. Terrific? Good god I nearly had a heart attack then- get a grip man!
Agreed, tw&t or not, he's a great fullback.

Love to rip his wind-pipe out though.

Apart from Babbel and Mcallister(was he a bosman?) have we ever signed another player on a free who's actually been decent? Zenden, Pellegrino and Aurelio immediately spring to mind as being complete and utter dog turd.

For what ever reason when Riise is in the squad at LB we are very good defesivly, could be the 2 CB know his strengths and weaknesses.
Riise is also excellent in the air.

As for Aurelio his mistakes in defence are more than just not used to country and premiership its basic lack of defensive duties, cue everton.
But i do like him and think he can do a job as LM.

Sorry mate, but i cannot agree.

Even if Riise is better than Aurelio defensively, it is minimal. This is compensated by the fact that Aurelio can actually pass the ball.

Riise is still living off his long range strikes.

Your 1st paragraph - agreed. I havent seen that much of us this season, but last season JAR had almost perfected the art of playing the perfect offside trap. He`s not the best defender in the world (to say the least!) but he has learned to position himself so well when we`re defending. Credit to him for working so hard at it.

2nd para - agree totally. Aurelio is just not a very good defender. He never will be, no matter which league he plays in. The best we can hope for is that he can perfect his positioning when he is defending (like Riise), or we just keep him as far away from our back line as possible.

He`s a brazilian defender FFS. You should have all known that he`d be bollocks at defending before he joined us.

And his stamina, attitude and the fact that he is never injured.

His long rangers arent hitting the target though. only 1 in 20 of them.

yeh if Babbel had not got sick we could have used him more, Macca was a one off from Ged.
Agree about Zenden & Aurelio. Waste of clubs monies.
